Is this a joke?
Although we all have an excellent sense of humor, this is not a joke and would like to be taken seriously.
What's the difference between being a sponsor and donating?
A sponsor has to formally agree to pay at least a dollar a day for the entire time that we do not shave. Someone that donates, on the other hand, will be giving us support in anyway possible, whether it's money, time spent helping us, spreading the word about Beards For Cancer, or even moral support. We truly do appreciate any help we can get.
Why go beards?
Why not? Most things seem weird or different the first time they are done; this is simply our unique way of fundraising.
Why raise money for the American Cancer Society?
We have all been effected in one way or another by cancer, whether we have lost a family member, a friend, or even an acquaintance. This is a cause everyone can relate to with a purpose everyone can understand. We would like the ACS to receive all the money we raise in hopes that it will help others.
So, can you guys shave at all?
Nothing touches the actual beard; trimming the moustache, lower neck, and upper cheek is acceptable, but there will be no trimming or shaving of the beard itself for the entirety of the year.
How can I help out if I don't have any money to give?
As stated before, we gladly accept donations of any sort. This is going to be a rather large project and we are not going to turn down help. If you think that you can help us out in any way, please send us an e-mail stating what you would like to do. Once again, we appreciate any help anyone is willing to offer.
Are you making any money from this at all?
No. We are giving all profits to the American Cancer Society. The only thing we will get out of this is a face full of hair and knowing that we played an important part in the fight against cancer.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to email us, we will be happy to answer!
