Eric Pickard and Brian Mock are two normal guys that are taking on a mission to raise money for the fight against cancer in a most peculiar way.  These two strapping young men will stop shaving for a year, in attempts to raise money for the fight against cancer, seeking sponsors to give them a dollar, or more, for every day that they don't shave.  There are no angles, no gimmicks, just two guys out to fight against cancer by any means possible.

Beards for Cancer began on December 3, 2003 when Tommy Avallone, Ryan Petrillo, and Alex Wildman took on the no-shave challenge for the first time ever starting this non-profit organization, BEARDS FOR CANCER!

Tommy Avallone and Alex Wildman although started shaving again, they still help out BEARDS FOR CANCER by sitting as chairmen of the board. Being in charge with the media, paperwork, and pretty much everything that is BEARDS FOR CANCER, just not the beards!
